I've led a fairly adventurous life thus far. Been married to the same shockingly superlative wife for 24 years. Raised 4 certifiably AMAZING kids who are grabbing life by the horns and inspiring me daily.
Taught high school with tremendously talented folks in two states. Pioneered & pastored churches in two states with some heavenly humans. Had a mid-life occupational re-start a few years ago, and am now making my living with the written word.
The blog below this is a collection of thoughts springing from my journey. Take them for what they are. Not going to sermonize, attempt to "inspire," or come off like an "expert" at anything. Rather, it's stuff I'm working through. I'm flawed, scarred, & know less than I did 25 years ago. Basically, I'm still trying to figure a whole lot of stuff out, and I need an ongoing laboratory where I can learn to be a more honest, transparent, and authentic human being. Didn't do so well in those departments over the last couple of decades. This is one of my labs.
I kinda figure there's quite a few others in similar-looking boats, and rowing together is a whole lot more attractive than rowing alone. Consider this your invitation to travel along. Disclosure #1. I'm not going to ram it down anyone's throat or proseletyze, but I will refer to what I hope is becoming a more authentic faith. If that's offensive to you, this may not be a good fit for you.
Disclosure #2. I'll also be using other parts of this site (still in devlopment) as a platform for how I'm best able to help people: with the written word. I write web copy (copywriting), help businesses simplify and optimize their marketing efforts, and manage social media for businesses, individuals, & causes.
No, I'm not going to be hawking my wares from the belltower, but I will be mentioning stuff pertaining to my work from time to time. Like this: "Have a project that needs some word help? Use the contact form & I'll get back to you lickity split."
